Alison & Bobby

This could easily be one of the chillest couples we’ve worked with! Alison & Bobby, from Chicago, really trusted our long-distance work relationship for planning their destination wedding by the sea in Antibes. They appreciated our vetted recommendations for the various suppliers involved in their big day and made choices swiftly, hence allowing us all to enjoy the entire planning process and get creative!

They planned an entire wedding weekend getaway with their American friends & family. Their guests arrived to the Cote d’Azur a few days early to relax and visit the seaside villages along the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean sea.

The morning of the wedding, Alison was calm and collected as she slipped into her elegant gown. The girls had a great morning gabbing over cheese and fruit trays with a glass of bubbly, all super excited for the day.

The bride and her father took a white antique 1936 Citroen Traction classic car (a rare gem for collectors!) to the brightly colored Notre Dame church perched slightly over the water’s edge. Before Alison’s arrival, Bobby and his groomsmen chatted amongst the guests looking very handsome and chill in their designer blue suits and their French Riviera flair of wearing no socks with their loafers.

The bridal procession was welcomed into the church by classically trained string musicians. The acoustics of the church along with the raw talent of the musicians was magical, beautiful, powerful, and truly heavenly! Alison and Bobby brought their own priest from the US to preside over their Catholic ceremony who united them in holy matrimony. The couple shared the sweetest personal messages to each other during the ceremony about how Bobby makes Alison feel more put together and how Alison helps Bobby feel more adventurous. Both individuals bringing out the best in each other!

After a few photos in front of the gorgeous chapel, and along the narrow cobblestone lanes of the historical town, the guests were escorted to an iconic seaside hotel for cocktail hour while Alison & Bobby had a few minutes of ‘alone time’ during their drive along the coastline.

Champagne flowed, music played, guests laughed as the sun slowly faded over the Azur blue waters. Dinner was nothing short of perfection with a backdrop that only dreams are made of.

A gorgeous multi-layered cake was presented on the dance floor with traditional French sparklers before the party started.

As the dancing began the couple let loose with their guests while the DJ played a predominantly hip-hop and rap line-up of music per request after request after request! He even said he’s never exhausted his rap repertoire until this wedding! The saxophone player accompanied the DJ and got the house vibe going strong too! Needless to say, it was a good dance party!!

As the clock struck midnight, all the guests gathered around Bobby’s mom to sing her happy birthday! The dancing continued throughout the night, as did the mojitos, and then the late-night cheese spread, sweets, and fruit baskets.

The following day guests reconvened at the hotel for coffee & croissants and took advantage of just a bit more Mediterranean fresh air before either embarking on their homeward journeys or unwinding at the beach with Alison & Bobby. The weekend and wedding by the sea in Antibes was absolutely perfect.

We got engaged in the South of France and wanted to plan our wedding there as well. We spent a few months looking around trying to figure out how exactly to do that. We realized, rather quickly, that having the French fluency of a 3-year-old is not particularly helpful when planning a multi-day event abroad.  While searching through beautiful wedding photos on Instagram, we kept coming across the same name ‘Haute Wedding’.

After our first call with Monica, we knew her team was the perfect fit for us and our destination wedding by the sea in Antibes. Each step of the way she gave us a few vetted options of vendors at different price points and were quickly able to select the best fit for us.  Monica fully understood the “vibe” we were going for and provided us with the perfect vendors to turn that into a reality. Everyone she works with is so talented yet down to earth and thoughtful – we could not be happier.  For us, the best part was Monica’s ability to mesh French and American traditions to create a truly unique experience.

The day of coordination between Monica and Kerry was so impeccable that our guests even commented on how seamless everything was and how they always knew where they were supposed to be and when. I could go on for days but I will spare you the novel! Thank you so much for making our dream wedding a reality. P.S. Kerry, thank you for catching and fixing my veil when it blew away in the wind, lifesaver!
