Secret Garden Wedding

Chamonix, France

Hollie & Mat

Hollie & Mat wanted an intimate garden wedding in a location, off the beaten path, with stunning views. Chamonix has quite a few of those to pick from! They found their little gem tucked away amongst meadows, wildflowers, and granite spires.

The farmhouse venue dates back 200 years with thick dark wooden beams, antique pieces reflecting life in the mountains from another day and age: iron-cast stove, wooden skis & sleds, rustic farm tools… The absolutely breathtaking garden is an unexpected surprise that stole their hearts from the moment they set foot in it during their venue finding process.

They were so excited about the big day and had a bunch of things they prepared themselves. The stylish bride Hollie was so prepared and so easy going! Our dream bride.

The centerpieces were flowers that looked like they were picked straight from the nearby meadow. An accordion player came to play during dinner and transported guests back in time.

Good food, good laughs, and wonderful memories from Hollie & Mat’s wedding are now part of the history that will linger forever in this historic little cabin.

Dear Monica, We simply can’t thank you enough for helping us plan the garden wedding of our dreams. Right from the word go you really got to know us; listening to our likes and dislikes, who we are as people and how we wanted our wedding to be, sometimes I think you even knew what we wanted before we did! But it was that care and attention that meant every little detail of our day was so very personal and relevant to us as a couple. Despite some challenges along the way, you were the ultimate professional, and your positivity was quite simply second to none. Always smiling, your enthusiasm was infectious; you brought endless ideas and suggestions to the table meaning that we had less to worry about knowing all the planning behind the scenes was in your capable hands. When the big day arrived, we could only watch in awe as you ran the whole day from start to finish, making it look so easy. Everything from coordinating buses and 4x4s in the rain, to suggestions for photo opportunities, hand-writing our chalkboard signs and who could forget the impromptu accordion performance from the man who happened to live next door, without you that wouldn’t have happened and was honestly one of the highlights of the day that we’ll never forget.

Genuinely, all Mat and I had to do was turn up and enjoy our special day because you had it all under control and for that, we are so incredibly grateful. On a personal note as the Bride, I couldn’t have asked for anything more from a wedding planner, even down to words of wisdom in the last weeks before the wedding and a hand to hold as I arrived a bag of nerves on the day, Monica you delivered it all! We feel it’s also right to pass on our thanks to the wider team at Haute Wedding too. Charlie our wonderful celebrant who again, made a real effort to get to know us as individuals so that our ceremony was completely personal. And the wonderful bus drivers from Haute Transfer, who made sure I had a cold drink and reassuring words as I sat waiting nervously outside the chapel, it was those small details that made all the difference and will stay with us for years to come. It’s a cliché but true – it was the best day of our lives and simply wouldn’t have been possible without Monica and the wonderful team at Haute Wedding. Merci Beaucoup! Xxx!
