Eze is a jaw-dropping medieval hilltop village and is definitely worth the trip. Only about 20 minutes from Beaulieu-sur-Mer and about 30 minutes from Nice, it is a wonderful excursion for a day trip in the South of France.

The village has narrow, winding cobblestone streets make you feel like you’ve stepped hundreds of years back in time. Several tiny artist galleries are tucked away in between the stone archways and historical walls.

As you are meandering up to the hilltop, we recommend you stop and see the Eglise Notre Dame de L’Assomption church to see it’s beautiful it’s bright yellow facade, palm tree exterior, and lovely historical interior. Then follow the marked stairway that will take you to an exotic cactus garden which has spectacular views of the Mediterranean sea. There is really nothing like it.

For those wanting to grab a drink, we sing the highest praises for the terrace of the Chateau de la Chevre d’Or. Words cannot describe the views from their terrace, you must see it for yourselves!
