Intimate Riviera Wedding

Antibes, France

Laura & Travis

This NYC power couple embodies the flair and class of the French Riviera. Laura is really into high end fashion and her handsome hubby is in advertising for some big international brands. They are well connected, well traveled, and most importantly very in love!

Together they have explored all over the world from Portugal to Spain, Mexico to Dubai, Tokyo to Turkey. The list of places they want to visit is long and we are sure they will make every one of them! When picking the perfect place for their wedding, they wanted somewhere that their guest list would enjoy. Somewhere sunny, relaxing, intimate, and accessiable.

They had already officially married in the Hamptons the previous year, so they wanted just close friends and family for their intimate French Riviera wedding celebration. They loved Antibes because it is close to Nice, but out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The views are tranquil and jaw dropping with sandy beaches to lounge on during the wedding weekend. It was an easy YES for this venue.

Everyone was welcomed into their sunny rooms with macaroons on every pillow. There was a luxurious welcome party at the famous Eden Roc hotel the day before the wedding.

The morning of the wedding, all of the girls (and the bride’s adorable puppy) got ready in the sunny bridal suite. Travis waited for Laura on the jetty for first looks next to the sparkling sea and a few couple portraits by the water.

The ceremony was on the terrace under a bright blue sky. They exchanged vows in front of a lush arch filled with white flowers and greenery with our in house British celebrant, Charlie officiating the big moment

The cocktail hour was on the shoreside terrace. Everyone sipped champagne, aperol spritz, and negronis as they enjoyed the live band with a singer, drummer, sax, and piano. We moved the arch down from the top terrace to the bottom so it could be a photo area for their guests.

For the dinner, we wanted everyone together. So one long table on the water was the perfect fit for this reception by the sea. The decor was chic, white, and simple. With such a small guest list, there was no need for name tags. Instead, we used big white roses on each plate. We used candles to set a warm atmosphere and tall centrepieces for a dramatic effect that still promotes conversation and intimacy at the table.
