Luxury Lakeside Wedding

Lake Annecy, France

Charlotte & Craig

This stylish wedding lakeside in Annecy, France was not missing any glitz and glam. The iconic duo was Craig and Charlotte. He is a great rugby player and she is a blonde powerhouse with a bubbly personality and chic style. These two were such a social couple. The bride even had 10 bridesmaids! All who wore beautiful white gowns as they walked before Charlotte down the aisle. The guys were a close-knit bunch too. They all took a boat cruise and quick dip in the lake to relax before the big I do – in matching swimmers of course!

Charlotte’s dress was stunning. The top was intricately beaded with lace and the bottom was a fun tulle skirt that really showed off her awesome figure! The morning of, all of the bridesmaids helped her into her gown in their lakeside boutique hotel rooms. Then they took turns writing good luck notes to the bride while cheering with bubbly and sharing memories from along the way.

When the moment came the bride was ready, she linked arm and arm with her dad as she started down the white petal walkway to the floral arch. With the lake in the background and the summer sun shining bright, the bride and groom exchanged vows with our in-house British celebrant, Charlie, leading the ceremony. They wanted to incorporate live music into every part of the wedding, starting with the ceremony. An English singer, who was a close friend of the couple, sang beautifully as they walked hand in hand into the venue’s garden as Mr. & Mrs.

For a cocktail hour, they enjoyed a live sax player, pianist, and singer which all of the guests really loved! Some even sang along, live music really is a must! The dancing did not wait till the reception, everyone boogied a bit at the cocktail hour too! It truly was a Lake Annecy luxury wedding. There were quite a few well-known English rugby players in attendance like Elliot Wade, James Haskell, and Kenny Dalglish.

For the dinner reception, everyone found their table which was named after the couples favorite cities in France. At their seat, they found a mini bottle of champagne that everyone popped during the toasts and laughed over memories of the couple.

After a delicious dinner filled with French favorites created by a gourmet chef, everyone made their way to the dance floor for even more live music! Drummers, sax, singer, pianist, the whole sha-bang.  The couple was not shy to get out there with their guests and get the party going! It was truly a blast.

The next morning, all the guests gathered back at the venue to enjoy a typical French brunch before taking a dip in the lake. Just the R&R they needed before flying back!
