This unique Russian-Polish-American wedding was sophisticated, elegant and relaxed.

The ceremony was held outdoors on a crisp Saturday afternoon in January. The couple said I do on a terrace overlooking the snow-covered Mont Blanc range. Our Russian American bride shared sweet vows with her Polish American groom in front of 50 guests coming from NYC and London.

Their symbolic ceremony had one of the most scenic backdrops in the Alps and finished off with a sky lantern launch.

The weather was quite chilly and even though the lanterns did not gain much height due to the cold temperatures the guests had a ball trying to light them and set them off!

After the ceremony guests indulged in a lux cocktail hour. The guests savored the shrimp, foie gras, and salmon hors d’oeurves prepared by the Michelin starred chef before moving to another venue for dinner with a second Michelin starred chef!

The first high-end restaurant was overlooking the snow-capped mountains and the second restaurant was near the heart of the alpine village. Guests enjoyed the delicious 4-course meal of more foie gras, scallops, veal, and cheese. The dessert was an incredible ‘cappuccino’ presentation with the most amazing chocolate detail in the form of steam rising from the ‘coffee cup’.   Everything was totally exquisite.

After dinner, the guests danced the horah to Hava Nagila. The bride and groom were lifted in their chairs and everyone danced and danced and danced.  The champagne flowed all night and nobody wanted to go home!

This multi-cultural wedding was one that will always bring a smile to our faces!

We’ve always known we wanted to hold our wedding in Chamonix. Since our first trip there; not even a year into our relationship, we fell in love with the skiing, apres-ski and everything in between. The French Alps are the crossroads of warm alpine heartiness, breathtaking mountain vistas, and sophisticated French style – where better to have a wedding. Unfortunately, the benefit of knowing exactly where you want to celebrate your big day comes with the challenges of planning it. Add to it living a thousand miles away and a mastery of the French language that only a skier can appreciate, and you realize you need some help. Monica and Haute Weddings did a magnificent job; being there from the beginning to help us explore our many options, to the very end; making sure all of our guests made it home safely. Our wedding was not a simple one – guests coming from all over the world (as far as Hong Kong and New York), events planned over several days, and a wedding ceremony that was held in 2 venues (one of them outside in the middle of January). Everything was executed perfectly and professionally. We happily spent the entire evening celebrating with our family and friends, knowing that all was intrusted, expert hands.
