Modern Mountain Wedding

Chamonix, France

Alison & Anton

This American couple contacted us knowing they wanted to share their big moment at altitude. They wanted a modern mountain wedding in the Alps. So we suggested our favorite two venues. They immediately gravitated to the Mer de Glace glacier venue for the first looks and then a cozy cabin-style reception venue with all of their guests.

There was no denying the style and connection with these two. They were modern and sophisticated and wanted a wedding that really portrayed their love for the simple chic things in life. They both got ready in their little Alpine chalet. The bride had a very stylish outfit: red heels and white pants under her see-through lace gown. The groom was dressed very sharp too with a blue and navy suit with loafers.

They wanted a moment that was intimate and extreme. They shared their first look moment up at the Montenvers train station and then went to the refuge overlooking one of France’s largest glaciers the Mer de Glace. The weather was not the best but the thick fog made it feel like they were the only ones around for miles, dancing in their own little world in the clouds. After enjoying their time at 6,300 feet altitude they headed back to the Chamonix valley to celebrate with friends.

They had a very simple wedding on a stunning outdoor terrace. The end of the fur-lined aisle was a tailor-made wedding arch in a triangle shape because it is their love symbol. They moved to the other terrace for a cocktail hour with stunning views of the Mont Blanc mountain range. Then moved inside for the delicious dinner.

Their guests traveled far for the destination wedding and really got to taste some French favorites. They all danced and really let loose as the night went on. It was such a fun intimate affair. Congrats you two!
